About Us – Awesome Engineers Ltd
Awesome Engineers Ltd run workshops and centres, encouraging children and adults to get excited about Science, Technology, Engineering and Maths (STEM) through building working LEGO® models. We build models such as those pictured in our Gallery and encourage children to explore such questions as, how does this machine move, what shapes can this machine work with, what jobs does this machine do? These questions help develop independent thought and creativity whilst having fun!
Our mission is to stimulate and support greater engagement and understanding of Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics skills through inspiring and creative model making programmes. We seek to be a socially aware business, both in the way we employ people and how we relate to the communities around our centres.
Awesome Engineer Centres have been established in several parts of the country with the mission to provide an engaging and fun curriculum that helps children (aged 6 to 11) engage with Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM subjects). Our worksheets have been designed to work in tandem with the Primary National Curriculum to provide essential skills that will help the children in school. The centres are run by dedicated Instructors who have lots of experience in the teaching and engineering industry, as well as lots of experience playing with LEGO®! Our Awesome Engineer Centres are currently based in: St Albans, Fetcham and Bradley Stoke. For more information about the centres please click on the location that is closest to you.
Links and charities – we work closely with Bright Bricks Ltd, both in providing LEGO® themed birthday parties and at events and shows. Take a look at our Bright Bricks Blog to see what they have been up to recently! As a social enterprise, we support children’s charities relevant to the business. Currently we are working with Fairy Bricks, a charity which provides LEGO® sets to hospices and hospitals around the UK.
