We often get great feedback from our centres, parties and workshops!

Awesome Engineers provided a professional, fun and well-delivered team building event for us in January 2018. It was huge hit with everyone who attended and we will definitely be back for a new challenge soon!

Children at Chigwell School, Essex

Awesome Engineers is a fantastic club for our school to be involved in. The club leaders are enthusiastic, organised and each session is well planned with content that supports the school curriculum and is fun at the same time. Awesome Engineers offer a great opportunity for children to learn and try something new and to develop a new interest and we have had very positive feedback from our parents.

Claire Banks, Garden Fields School Extra Curricular Coordinator

Awesome Engineers ran a birthday party for my son’s 7th birthday which he (and we!) loved. Following that he has been attending the weekly sessions at a local school. I can highly recommend the approach and content. It’s a great way of making STEM subjects digestible and interesting for children.

Toby, dad of a 7 year old, St Albans

We booked Awesome Engineers for a 6th birthday party and they were absolutely fantastic. We had 18 children and although I loved the idea, I was slightly concerned that the party might not be energetic enough for some. I needn’t have worried though – Melvyn and Lucy engaged the children immediately and they were all engrossed – girls as well as boys. It was great for me as I didn’t have any tears or injuries to deal with! The format is excellent and both fun and educational at the same time. The first activity was a team activity to build a tower and the results were really impressive. The second activity involved building a ball out of LEGO® and the third involved building a car and racing it. It was lovely to see all the children participating. We had great feedback from all those attending and lots of interest from the parents too. Highly recommended!

My son love this club, he likes building with lego and tidying up afterwards!

I just wanted to say a huge thank you to Melvyn and Anna for an amazing party yesterday!  My son and his friends had a fabulous time!  The party was really well structured and the way you kept all the kids engaged and controlled is commendable – especially as we had a couple of wild boys!  And you managed to keep both the 10 year olds entertained, as well as the 6 year olds, all at the same time!! The kids were all very proud of the balls they made and it was such a treat that they got to keep them!  You were a pleasure to deal with, keeping me informed from the moment I booked with you, even up until the morning when you text me to say you were on the way.  You were so organised, with your labels and named bags.  It just made the whole morning so much easier for me!!  I would happily recommend your party to anyone with a Lego crazy child!  Thank you so much!

Mum of a 10 year old

Melvyn and Anna put on a brilliant Lego party today for a group of 20 7yr olds. The kids loved it and the challenges were great. Well done, would highly recommend!

Kate, mum of 7 year old

Many thanks for arranging this for Harry’s party. He and his friends had a fantastic time, they were really engaged and enjoyed themselves. Thanks are also due to (the instructor and assistant) for putting up with the noise from 15 excited boys! They really managed them very well. It’s definitely recommended to friends.

Dad of a 7 year old

It was my best party ever. Thank you! My favourite part was winning in the tower competition with my team. I also really enjoyed making the Lego ball. I’ve still got my ball (and lots of my friends have taken theirs apart and rebuilt them!). We also really liked racing our vehicles down the ramp. So that’s everything, really. We liked it all. A lot. Thank you very much!

Birthday child aged 8

My daughter has just been moved up a set in Maths. We think this is at least partly due to Awesome Engineers, as we have seen her confidence increase so much over the past few weeks. Her maths teacher has noticed an improvement in her problem solving skills too. This is the first activity we have found that she gets really enthusiastic about, and it’s obviously doing her some good.

I wanted to say a particular thank you to the colleague who really got alongside my autistic child, and managed to make genuine contact with her, helping her to complete the first lego model of her entire life (she’s never quite grasped the bit of following the set of instructions through to getting the completed product before). It was a slightly emotional moment for those of us who know her well, and I really cannot thank you enough for persevering with making contact with her.
